Your Rent

Your rent

Your rent is an important part of your tenancy. Here you’ll find information about how your rent is set, when you need to pay, how to make a payment and what to do if you’re having difficulty paying your rent.

Paying your rent

Your rent is agreed at the start of your tenancy and is set out in your tenancy agreement.

Rent is charged in advance and is due on or before Monday each week if you pay weekly. If you pay monthly, your payments should be made in advance according to your agreed payment schedule.

You will receive a letter from us if your rent changes. Rent changes normally take place in the first week of April, and your letter will tell you the new amount and the date it will apply from.

It’s important to keep your rent account in credit by at least one payment period. If your account falls behind, we will contact you to discuss making additional payments.
